The Nantglyn Pulpit Yew, Denbighshire

Believed to be more than 1,500-years-old, the yew stands in the churchyard of St James Parish Church, Nantglyn.

Its hollowed-out trunk has been converted into an outdoor pulpit, with crude steps leading to it built from local Welsh slate.

Many sermons have been preached from here, including, rumour has it, one by John Wesley, founder of the Methodist Church!
