Celebrating 70 years of Snowdonia National Park in pictures!

A number of events have taken place over the last few weeks to celebrate Wales' oldest designated beauty spot.

From Wales' highest mountain to dramatic coastal landscapes and historic woodlands and lakes Eryri (Snowdonia) spans 827 square miles of land and 37 miles of coastline.

And for the past 70 years this beautiful area has been protected following its designation as a National Park.

The Snowdonia National Park was the one of the first areas in Britain to receive the designation in 1951 and for the past few weeks a variety of events have been staged to celebrate the anniversary.
